Behind GAP-Audio is a long-time hi-fi enthusiast based in Vantaa, Finland.
My passion for sound began in my youth, and over the years my interest has taken me from the world of car audio to professional PA systems – covering everything from mixing bands and live sound to lighting design.
I am a certified master cabinetmaker and am currently pursuing engineering studies related to the field. Years of experience in woodworking are reflected in every project.
I work from small-scale production facilities equipped with modern 3D printers, CO₂ laser cutters, and a CNC machining setup currently under construction. These enable the in-house creation of more unique prototypes and projects.
The idea behind my work is to carry out speaker projects that are more unusual and often deviate from the conventional – whether it’s restoring valuable vintage speakers or designing and building entirely new, original models.
And you never know – sometimes a project may even make its way into a commercial product. On this site, you can follow both ongoing and completed projects. Feel free to send me an email if you have any questions or something sparks your interest.
Over the years, I’ve worked on hundreds of speaker projects, but below are just a few examples. All the speakers shown in the photos were mostly broken when I got them and have since been restored and refurbished back into working condition.
